The Consortium for Southeastern Hypertension Control (COSEHC) announces that the 2004 Warren Trust Fellowship has been awarded to Ming-Sheng Zhou, M.D., Ph.D. Dr. Zhou's research thesis is entitled, ?Statins and Hypertensive Cardiovascular and Renal Injury in Salt-Sensitive Hypertension?. The studies are performed under the mentorship of Professor Leopoldo Raij, MD, Director of the Vascular Biology Institute/Renal-Hypertension Division at the VA Medical Center, University of Miami School of Medicine, in Miami, Florida .
The Warren Trust Fellowship was established in 2001 to support career training and primary research for individuals in cardiovascular disease in the Southeastern United States. The fellowship focuses on research broadly related to cardiovascular disease; and function, stroke, or related clinical, basic science, bioengineering and/or public health problem.
